New Delhi. Delhi Capitals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by four wickets in the 41st match of the IPL. In this match, Kuldeep Yadav and Mustafizur Rahman bowled tightly and prevented Kolkata from going towards big scores. There was a time when Kolkata captain Shreyas Iyer was handling the team along with Nitish Rana. There was a 48-run partnership for the 5th wicket between the two players. At the last moment, Rishabh Pant took the catch of Iyer, showing the agility of Kuldeep Yadav. After this, the entire team of Kolkata Knight Riders could only score 146 runs in the stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. The video of Pant’s catch has gone viral on social media.

Talking about the match, KKR scored 146 for nine despite Nitish Rana’s 57 off 34 balls when he was invited to bat first. Delhi registered their fourth win by scoring 150 for six in 19 overs. For Delhi, David Warner (42 off 26 balls, eight fours), Rovman Powell (33 not out off 16 balls, one four, three sixes), Axar Patel (24) and Lalit Yadav (22) made useful contributions. For KKR, Umesh Yadav took three wickets for 24 runs but he missed the fifth bowler.
In KKR’s innings, Nitish came to the crease in the eighth over when the score was 35 for four. He hit three fours and four sixes and meanwhile shared 48 runs with skipper Shreyas Iyer (42 off 37 balls) and 62 runs with Rinku Singh (23 off 16 balls). Only these three KKR batsmen reached double digits. Delhi did not start well either. Umesh Yadav forced Prithvi Sauv to be caught on the first ball of the innings while young Harshit Rana did not let Mitchell Marsh (13) recover from Kovid-19. Delhi scored 47 runs in the powerplay with the help of some fine fours from Warner.
The first six of Delhi’s innings was hit by Lalit on Harshit’s full toss but Umesh grabbed the ball for the second spell as three wickets were taken within two runs. Umesh first sent Warner to the pavilion and then got captain Rishabh Pant (two) caught behind the wicket. Sunil Narine, who caught Warner’s hook shot at short fine leg, meanwhile, got Lalit out leg before who could have survived if he had taken the DRS. Shreyas shared a 48-run partnership with Nitish for the fifth wicket. In the meantime, he focused on grooming the innings and hit four fours while Nitish hit Lalit Yadav for the first six of the innings in the 13th over. Pant, however, took a low catch of Shreyas and then stumped Russell beautifully.
