New Delhi. The Indian cricket team is now preparing for the ICC ODI World Cup to be held at their home next year. Coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma have already said that now the whole focus is going to be like this only. Team India’s wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik has given opinion about Rishabh Pant going through bad form. He made it clear that he is not a solid middle order batsman, so his place can be given to someone else.

The three-match ODI series between India and Bangladesh is starting on Sunday 4th December. Everyone is thinking about the playing XI of Team India. The biggest question is that despite Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, both KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant will be able to play in the middle order of the ODI team. Karthik has given his opinion on this.

Talking to Cricbuzz, Karthik said, “So number five in the batting order in Team India is something that will be discussed a lot. To bat at this place, I think there will be a tough fight between KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant. According to me, only KL Rahul will play, I have full faith in this.

I think Pant has taken a long flight from New Zealand to here and reached Bangladesh which we are talking about. See, if we talk about the 50-over World Cup, KL Rahul is a solid middle order batsman. If there is talk of keeping him in the team, he will be fitted at number five only.
