After the match, in the post-match press conference, Rohit Sharma was asked questions about the absence of fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. On which the Indian captain said that Bumrah’s injury and his subsequent absence is something that the team has become used to.

Rohit Sharma said, “Jasprit Bumrah has been absent for more than eight months now. People and the team are used to it now. However, it is very difficult to fill Bumrah’s place. We all know the quality of bowler he is, but now he is not available to us. Let us not think about it now.

Rohit Sharma then praised Mitchell Starc and said, “Mitchell Stark is a quality bowler. He has been doing this for years with the new ball for Australia.
