new Delhi. In the journey of Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar to become the ‘God’ of cricket, a person has played an important role. He is Ramakant Achrekar, whose death anniversary is on 2 January. Sachin became emotional after remembering his Guru. Remembering Achrekar, he shared his feelings on social media.

Sharing a photo of himself with Ramakant Achrekar on Twitter, Sachin wrote, he taught me to respect technique, discipline and most importantly the game. I miss him every day. Today is his death anniversary. I salute Dronacharya of my life. Without him, I would not have become the kind of cricketer I am. Sachin has said this in many interviews if Ramakant Achrekar was not there, his cricket career would not have been like this. Achrekar died on 2 January 2019. Master Blaster had said goodbye to international cricket in 2013. However, even today many records are registered in his name. Sachin has scored 34,357 international runs with 100 centuries.
