Mumbai. one of the greatest batsmen in the world Sachin Tendulkar (Sachin Tendulkar) has praised India’s young cricketer Shubman Gill. Sachin said that Shubman Gill (Shubman Gill) has the technique and attitude of batting in any order in the Indian Test team but he has to convert good starts into big innings. Gill, who scored 52 runs in the Kanpur Test against New Zealand, was heading for a big innings in the Mumbai Test as well but the left-arm spinner Ejaz Patel (Ajaz Patel) dismissed him.
When asked whether Gill has the technique to bat well in the middle order in South Africa Sachin Tendulkar told PTI, ‘As far as technology is concerned, there are different challenges on different pitches. I believe Shubman Gill Has the advantage that he has scored 91 runs in Brisbane where we won the Test. Gill scored 44 runs in 71 balls in the first innings of the Mumbai Test.
Sachin said, ‘Shubman has the experience of playing on hard and bouncy pitches. There is no issue with technology. They have started well but now it’s time to convert them into big innings. Tendulkar said Gill doesn’t need to take a lot of pressure on his century as he has a hunger for runs. After coming into the team, it is a matter of hunger to score big which is within him. All he has to do is convert good starts into big innings and not lose his concentration for it. He got out on a good ball in both the Kanpur and Mumbai Tests. He is in the process of learning and is learning too.
He praised Shreyas Iyer, who scored a century in the debut Test, saying, ‘Shreyas took full advantage of the opportunity. The score was not high till a point after which he played a memorable innings and took India almost close to victory. Both innings were important. There will be restlessness about playing Tests but he has been playing T20 cricket for a long time which should have eased the pressure and he can show his natural game.
