New Delhi. Shoaib Akhtar, former Pakistan fast bowler (Shoaib Akhtar) Has once raised questions about the current rules of international cricket. Shoaib, popularly known as ‘Rawalpindi Express’, has said that if Sachin Tendulkar (Sachin Tendulkar) Had he been playing cricket in today’s era, he would have had more than 1 lakh runs. Akhtar is constantly questioning the rules of the current cricket. He believes that only the batsmen are benefiting from the current rules.
Shoaib Akhtar, the world’s fastest bowler, said on his YouTube channel, “You now play with two new balls in ODI cricket. You have made the rules more stringent. At present, more attention is being given to the batsmen. Now the rule of three reviews has also been kept. Had the same rules been in place during Sachin Tendulkar’s time, he would have done more than one lakh runs. He further said that Sachin has played difficult bowlers in his time.
Shoaib said, “I really pity Sachin, he played against Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis initially, he played against Shane Warne, then he faced Brett Lee and Shoaib Akhtar. After this he also played the next generation of fast bowlers. That’s why I consider him a very good batsman.” Sachin has 100 centuries recorded in international cricket. He has scored 18 thousand runs in ODIs and more than 15 thousand runs in Test cricket.
Apart from this, Shoaib Akhtar has also demanded to increase the number of bouncers in cricket. He said that if cricket has to be balanced then you should increase the number of bouncers. Shoaib further said that when T20 cricket was not there, teams used to play 12 to 15 Test matches in a year, but due to T20 their number has come down. Earlier bowlers were also fit. Shoaib Akhtar has taken 444 international wickets. Akhtar has dismissed Tendulkar five times in ODIs and only three times in Tests.
