Sarfaraz Ahmed picks himself as the best Pakistan captain over Babar Azam and Azhar Ali

New Delhi. Former Pakistani captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has chosen himself as the best Pakistani captain. Sarfaraz Ahmed captained the ‘Man in Green’ to Pakistan’s historic victory over India in the ICC Champions Trophy in 2017. During the two-match Test series against New Zealand from December 2022 to January 2023, he made a spectacular comeback in the Pakistani Test team after a gap of almost four years. Sarfaraz has chosen himself, current captain Babar Azam and former Test and ODI captain Azhar Ali.

Sarfaraz Khan was also the captain of the Pakistani team that won the Under-19 World Cup title in 2006. Sarfaraz took charge of the Pakistan cricket team in 2015. He has captained the Pakistan team in 13 Tests, 50 ODIs and 37 T20 Internationals. He has won 4 Tests, 28 ODIs and 29 T20 Internationals. He was the captain of the Pakistani team that defeated India by 180 runs in the final of the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy.

The wicketkeeper-batsman is captaining the Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Recently during a TV show when he was asked who is the better captain among Babar Azam, Azhar Ali and Sarfaraz Ahmed, he chose himself. Taking his name, Sarfaraz further said, “It is better to take your name than to offend someone.” This video of Sarfaraz is becoming fiercely viral on social media.
