The Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association has given its nod to the construction of the proposed cricket stadium by the lead developer of the Sports City project in Sector 150. This cricket stadium will be built in Sector 150 near the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. It is also very important in terms of traffic movement.

However, the actual construction of the project will start only after the Noida Authority approves the revised layout plan of the Sports City project. Sources said that the authority has sought instructions from the state government in this matter. Further action will be initiated as per the instructions received from there.

Under the Sports City project, other sports facilities including an international level cricket stadium were to be built, for which the developer Lotus Green Construction Pvt Ltd had sought approval from the UPCA. Finally the approval was given on 17th March. was raised during the Apex Council meeting on 17 March. The association has also sent a list of 41 features to the developer to make the stadium international.

The stadium will be designed according to the capacity of 35,000 spectators. Apart from this, practice pitches should also be made for practice during international matches. Under this, the playing area should be 137.6 meters. While the distance of the straight boundary of both ends of the pitch should be 64 meters. The stadium will be ready, after that BCCI and ICC will inspect the stadium.

When will this stadium be ready
The international cricket stadium in Noida is expected to be built in the next 3 years. After Kanpur, Lucknow and Varanasi, Noida will be the fourth city in Uttar Pradesh to have an international cricket stadium. Land has been acquired for this. If land is available then such a stadium can be built in Ghaziabad also.
