Sreesanth’s sensational statement on fixing, said- ‘I cannot name those 13 people’

Sreesanth said, ‘I participated in the Irani Trophy and I was preparing myself for the series against Africa which was to be held in September 2013. We were leaving early. My goal was to be a part of that series. Such a person will not do anything like this and that too for 10 lakh rupees. I am not talking big, but when I used to party, my bills used to come to around Rs 2 lakh.

In the year 2013, when the names of some players of Rajasthan Royals came in the fixing, then there was a stir in the cricket world. During this, the player whose name was raised the most was none other than India’s fast bowler S Sreesanth. Although Sreesanth has completed his sentence and he has also participated in domestic cricket for Kerala. Talking further, Sreesanth said that I have helped many people and because of their prayers, I was able to get out of there. Sreesanth said how can this happen.

Life ban on Sreesanth lifted

Let us tell you that Sreesanth made his international debut in 2005 against Sri Lanka in Nagpur. His popularity increased after taking the catch of Pakistan’s Misbah-ul-Haq in the final of the 2007 T20 World Cup. Later he was also a part of the Indian team that won the World Cup in 2011. Two other players, Ajit Chandila and Ankit Chavan, were arrested along with Sreesanth after the allegations were made in 2013. After being cleared of the charges, the Supreme Court lifted the life ban on Sreesanth in the year 2019.

Sreesanth said, ‘It is a very bad thing to accuse someone. If people had called me and asked in 2013-14, when I came out in 2015, there were 13 other names in the Supreme Court. All I can say is that I, my family, friends and family went through the most difficult times. till near death. That experience was equal to death. Had he been with me and my friends, I would not have named those 13 culprits. I will not name any one till this is proved.

Can S Sreesanth return in IPL?

Sreesanth, the most successful Indian fast bowler in the first edition of the IPL, has been away from competitive cricket since 2013. After his return to domestic cricket, Sreesanth had registered himself for the IPL 2021 auction, but he could not find any buyer. But if there is a mega auction next year, Sreesanth is hopeful that he will find a buyer. The focus of the Kerala fast bowler is on a strong performance in the upcoming domestic season.
