IPL has given many Indian players a chance to show their skills. Be it a batsman or a bowler, many players have traveled to international cricket by showing their strength in this league. Now one such bowler has arrived in the Sunrisers Hyderabad camp, who has warned the biggest batsmen in his IPL debut match itself. Umran Malik of Jammu and Kashmir, who was included in the team as a short-term replacement of T Natarajan, has made a record in his very first match, around which bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami have not strayed.
Against Kolkata Knight Riders, Kane Williamson gave the Jammu and Kashmir player a chance to showcase his skills in the world’s most famous league by including him in the playing XI. Umran also grabbed the opportunity and impressed everyone in his four-over spell. Umran bowled the third ball of his first over at 150.06 per kilometer hour, which was the fastest delivery by any Indian fast bowler in the IPL. Earlier, this record was held by Mohammad Siraj, who bowled at a speed of 147.68 kmph. Hyderabad bowler Khaleel Ahmed has also bowled the ball at a speed of 147.38.
Umran conceded just 27 runs in his four-over spell, although he could not take any wicket in his debut match. It is worth noting that after T Natarajan was found to be Corona positive, Hyderabad had added this Jammu and Kashmir bowler to their team as a short-term replacement. In the match played against KKR, Hyderabad had to face defeat by 6 wickets. This was the 10th loss for Kane Williamson’s team this season. The team is already out of the race for the playoffs.
