I am from Ghaziabad, Dhoni from Ranchi. I played for MS Dhoni, then I played for the country. This is the connection. The left-handed batsman told Sports Tak, we played so many finals, we won the World Cup. Apart from being a great leader, he is also a great human being.

Raina announced his retirement at the age of 33. After this he continued to play in IPL with Dhoni. Chennai Super Kings released him before the 2022 auction. Raina registered his name for the mega auction but could not find any buyer. His base price was Rs 2 crore.
