T20 World Cup 2021 Australian Players Drink Beer in Shoes Shoaib Akhtar Finds it Disgusting

Australia cricket team won the T20 World Cup for the first time by defeating neighboring New Zealand by eight wickets in a one-sided fashion on Sunday. After winning the World Cup for the first time in the shortest format of cricket, Kangaroo players celebrated it fiercely in their dressing rooms. Like every time, this time too the way of celebration was unique and many players drank beer filled in their shoes. This video of Australian players celebrating became fiercely viral on social media. However, former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar did not like this method of kangaroo players and did not call it right.

IND vs NZ: ‘Will bring a stay in the dressing room’, KL Rahul on Rohit Sharma’s captaincy

He shared this video on his Instagram and wrote in the caption, “Very disgusting way to celebrate victory?” In the video, Australian wicketkeeper Matthew Wade first took off his shoe, poured beer in it and gulped it. After this Marcus Stoinis took the shoe from him and poured beer in it and drank it. Let us tell you that the tradition of drinking beer in shoes is very popular in Australia. This tradition is called Shui. It is considered either a symbol of celebration or torture.

The country won the T20 World Cup for the first time, but still the place in the Test team of Mitchell Marsh was not confirmed.

Akhtar expressed surprise when Warner was adjudged Player of the Tournament

After winning the T20 World Cup, Australia’s opener David Warner was awarded the Player of the Tournament title by the ICC. He scored a total of 289 runs in seven matches at an average of 48.17 and a strike rate of 146.70. Pakistan captain Babar Azam scored more runs in the tournament than him. Here Akhtar believes that the decision to adjudicate Warner as the player of the tournament is unfair to Babar. Babar scored a total of 303 runs in six matches at an average of 60.60 and a strike rate of 126.25. According to Shoaib, Babar should have got this title instead of Warner.
