Nick Webb said that due to the restrictions imposed due to Corona in New Zealand, he will not be able to extend his contract after the T20 World Cup. He was associated with Team India after the 2019 World Cup. He had replaced Shankar Basu. Prior to this, he had worked with the New Zealand women’s team and the home team Central District. During his tenure, Team India qualified for the finals of the World Test Championship. Apart from this, the team also won in Australia.
It is not right to stay away from family for a long time
Nick Webb, who was living with Team India after the World Test Championship, said that it is not right to stay away from the family for 8 months. He said, ‘In the last two years, I have had the privilege of representing India, BCCI and Team India. During this time we achieved a lot as a team. We have lost and won matches as well. But it was special to accept the challenge consistently and perform well.

However, the decision was not an easy one, he said. But family should put first. I had to take this decision due to the ban of Corona in the country. Nick Webb said I do not know what the future will hold. But in the T20 World Cup, I want to give all possible help to Team India.
