T20 World Cup 2021 Shoaib Akhtar on David Warner Was really looking forward to see Babar Azam becoming Man of the Tournament

Date:

David Warner was adjudged the Man of the Tournament for the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Warner scored a total of 289 runs in seven matches at an average of 48.17 and a strike rate of 146.70. More runs than him are recorded in the name of only one batsman in this tournament and that is Pakistan captain Babar Azam. Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar believes that the decision to adjudicate Warner as the player of the tournament is unfair to Babar Azam. Babar Azam scored a total of 303 runs in six matches at an average of 60.60 and a strike rate of 126.25.

Akhtar has Twitter But it was written, ‘I had a view that Babar Azam will be chosen as the player of the tournament, this is absolutely unfair.’ The final match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 was played in Dubai on Sunday (November 14), where Australia won by eight wickets against New Zealand. Not only this, just before the T20 World Cup, the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise team Sunrisers Hyderabad dropped from their team.

Australia won the toss in the final match and invited New Zealand to bat first. New Zealand scored 172 for four in 20 overs. Captain Kane Williamson played an innings of 85 runs. In reply, Australia chased down the target in 18.5 overs for the loss of two wickets. Mitchell Marsh scored 77 not out. Australia had to face defeat against England in the Super-12 round. Before this tournament, Australia was not even being counted among the contenders for the title, but Aaron Finch & Co proved why this team is called the best team in the world.
