Team India chartered flight England to West Indies cost 3 crore 50 lakh whopping amount

After completing the England tour, Team India has reached the Caribbean to play a three-match ODI and 5-match T20 series against the West Indies. Team India was taken from England to West Indies via chartered flight. Now the cost of this flight has been revealed. You will be surprised to know that BCCI spent Rs 3.5 crore on the chartered plane and they did not do so to save the players from Kovid-19. Let me tell you, this private plane took the players from Manchester to Port of Spain.

A source told the Times of India, “The BCCI spent Rs 3.5 crore on the chartered flight that took Team India from Manchester to Port of Spain (the capital of Trinidad and Tobago) on Tuesday afternoon at 11.30 pm. Kovid was not the reason for booking the chartered flight for the team. It is difficult to book so many tickets on a commercial flight – the Indian contingent consists of 16 players and members of the support staff, including head coach Rahul Dravid. There are also wives of players who have traveled to the Caribbean.

The source further added, “Normally on a commercial flight, the cost would have been around Rs 2 crore. A business class ticket from Manchester to Port of Spain will cost around Rs 2 lakh. A chartered flight is more expensive, but it is a logical option. Most of the top football teams now have a charter.
