He did not say anything on the question of team combination and playing eleven, as well as whether R Ashwin will play the match or not, he avoided it in his own way.
Rohit was asked whether it would be a difficult decision to drop Ashwin, he said, “I did not say that Ashwin will not play. The first Test match at the Oval was played in 1880 but this is the first time it will host a Test match in the month of June. Rohit, however, does not take this number seriously.
He said, “We hear there is not much cricket played here in June. County matches are played here. We saw that the match was played here two weeks back. It is not that this will be the first match of this season at this ground. We are well aware of how the situation is and what is going to happen in the next five days.
