Tender issued to get the ownership of Women IPL team… Know when the first season will be played?


new Delhi. BCCI secretary Jai Shah had promised to organize a T20 league for women on the lines of IPL. Taking a step further in this episode, on Tuesday the Women’s IPL (Women Ipl TenderTenders have been issued by the BCCI to get the ownership rights of the team. Women’s IPL teams will be sold through auction only. If any business family in India wants to name the women’s IPL team, they can apply till January 21.

Existing franchisees or other business houses desirous of acquiring a women’s IPL team will have to deposit an amount of five lakh rupees with the BCCI. This amount will not be returned. It was told by the BCCI that to be a part of the tender process, depositing only five lakh rupees is not enough. If during the scrutiny of the documents, the BCCI feels that it is not complete, then they can exclude that person or business house from the auction process.
