Boris Becker was also convicted of failing to declare an asset in Germany and of concealing 825,000 euros ($895,000) of bank loans and shares in a technology firm. He was acquitted on 20 other counts, including the allegation that he failed to hand over several of his awards, including two Wimbledon trophies and an Olympic gold medal.

A jury at London’s Southwark Crown Court acquitted him in 20 other cases. Baker came to court at Wimbledon with his girlfriend Lillian de Carvalho Monteiro wearing a striped tie in purple and green. The six-time Grand Slam champion has denied all allegations, saying that he had cooperated with the trustees working to acquire his assets and acted on expert advice.
