New Delhi. It is rightly said that time is very powerful. There was a time when former cricketer Suraj Randiv used to be the pride of the Sri Lankan team. Today the situation is that he is driving a bus in Australia to earn a living. 38-year-old Randiv has also participated in the IPL for Chennai Super Kings under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.
Randiv made his debut for Sri Lanka in the year 2009:
The right arm off break bowler played his first international match for Sri Lanka in the year 2009. During this, he made a place in the team by replacing Muttiah Muralitharan, which is a big deal in itself. Meanwhile, he also played the 2011 World Cup while being in the team. However, due to not being able to perform consistently, he was dropped from the team in the year 2016. After which he did not get a chance in the team again.

Randiv became a bus driver leaving cricket:
After withdrawing from the field, Randiv went to Australia. Here he started working as a driver to run the household expenses. According to media reports, Randiv is currently working in a company named Transdev.
The interesting thing is that apart from Randiv, two more cricketers work in this company. In this, the name of Waddington Mawenga of Zimbabwe and Chintaka Jayasinghe, the other player from Randive’s own country, is included.
Suraj Randiv’s Cricket Career:
Suraj Randiv played a total of 50 international matches in his cricket career. During this, he got 86 successes in 57 innings. Randiv has 43 wickets in Test cricket, 36 in ODIs and seven wickets in T20. Apart from international cricket, he also participated in eight matches of IPL. Meanwhile, he got six successes.
