New Delhi: T20 World Cup 2021 is going to start from October 17 in UAE and Oman. BCI has declared the Indian team of 15 players only last month. But there were some players who are very special to captain Virat Kohli but still failed to make it to the team. Everyone is very surprised by the exclusion of those players.
Shreyas Iyer, who is considered to be a brilliant batsman of the middle order, has had a very good relationship with captain Virat Kohli. Iyer has been included as the standby players of the T20 World Cup 2021. Due to a shoulder injury, he was walking away from cricket for some time. But now he is completely fine, although he was not given a place in the 15-member team.
The name of Team India’s most successful T20 bowler Yuzvendra Chahal was not selected by the selectors in the team of T20 World Cup. This was quite a shocking decision as Chahal is the highest wicket-taker for India in T20 cricket. He was replaced by young spinner Rahul Chahar, who has played only 5 T20 matches in international cricket. Chahal has a very good relationship with Virat Kohli and he plays for his team RCB in the IPL but still he failed to make it to the team.
Another star fast bowler of RCB, Mohammad Siraj is also one of the special players of captain Kohli. In the Test team, Siraj has been given a place in the team continuously but he was shown the way out of the T20 World Cup team. Not only this, Siraj’s performance in the first phase of IPL was good and he is making his name in international cricket very fast. However, the selectors did not have faith in Siraj.
