The Governing Council of the Indian Premier League, in its meeting on Tuesday, took several important decisions, the major being the timing of two IPL matches. This is going to be the first time in IPL history that two league matches will start at the same time. Both these matches are to be played on 8 October. In this, the first match is to be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians, while the second match is to be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals.
According to the earlier schedule, the match of Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians was to be played from 3.30 pm and the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Capitals was to start at 7.30 pm, but now the timings of both the matches have been changed. It has been done since 7.30 pm. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah made the announcement saying, “The IPL Media Rights Tender for the 2023-2027 cycle will be floated immediately after the appointment of the two new IPL teams, which will be announced on 25 October 2021.
Let us inform that 41 matches of IPL have been played so far, but no team has been out of the league nor has any team made it to the playoffs.
