Recently all 5 franchises have strengthened their respective ranks in the auction. One of them was also the name of UP Warriors, who expressed confidence in five foreign players. At the same time, now the franchise has also announced the captain of its team. UP will start the tournament against Mumbai from 5 March.
One of the names in the captaincy race was that of Deepti Sharma, an Indian player from UP. But the franchise has expressed confidence in an experienced foreign player. Australia’s Alyssa Healy is going to take charge of UP in this tournament. UP Warriors included him in their team for a whopping amount of Rs 2.6 crores.
