The team of Sydney Thunder was dismissed for only 15 runs in the Big Bash League (BBL) match against Adelaide Strikers on Friday (December 16), which is the lowest score in the history of T20 cricket. Sydney Thunder had a target of 140 runs but their entire team was dismissed in 5.5 overs in front of the fiery balls of Henry Thornton and Wes Agar. This is the shortest innings in the history of men’s T20 cricket. Adelaide won the match by 124 runs.
Sydney Thunder’s innings ended in only 30 minutes. Thornton tore through his top order and took five wickets for three runs. Egar took four wickets while Matthew Short got one wicket. Earlier, the record for the lowest score in professional T20 cricket was in the name of Turkey, who scored 21 against Czech Republic in 2019.

Brendan Doggett’s 4th run down the order was Sydney’s highest individual score in the match. Riley Rousey, Alex Ross, Daniel Sams, Fazalhaq Farooqi and Oliver Davis were some of the batsmen who were successful in opening the scoring, but could not score even 4 runs.
