New Delhi. The first match of the 2 test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka has started in Galle. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first and on the first day the host country scored 242 runs at the loss of 6 wickets. Dhananjay D’Silva returned unbeaten on 94 runs. The sixth blow to Sri Lanka was in the form of Sadeera Samarawickrama. He was dismissed by Agha Salman after scoring 36 runs. Inzamam-ul-Haq’s nephew Imam-ul-Haq took a brilliant catch of Deera at forward short leg. The first day’s play ended as soon as Sadeera got out.

Sadeera Samarawickrama tried to play Agha Salman’s ball towards the leg side but the ball had extra spin and bounce. Sadira could not play it on the ground and the ball went towards Imam-ul-Haq standing at forward short leg. He had only a few seconds. Imam leapt in the air to his right and caught the ball with one hand. Samaravikrama also did not believe for some time but had to return to the pavilion. Sadeera shared a 57-run partnership for the sixth wicket with Dhananjay D’Silva.
