Shoaib Malik got out in a strange way in the Lanka Premier League
Malik playing for Jaffna Kings could not even open his account
new Delhi. Pakistani all-rounder Shoaib Malik’s days are not going well. On one hand, he is in headlines for the news of divorce with his tennis star wife Sania Mirza, on the other hand, something happened with him in the field which is being talked about. Even though Shoaib is 40 years old. But, he has no intention of retiring. He is currently participating in the Lanka Premier League. In one of its matches, something happened to him, which is difficult to believe.
While batting in a Lanka Premier League match, Shoaib Malik was hit by a bouncer on the front side of his helmet. Because of this, the neck guard of his helmet broke and fell on the stumps and the bails were shattered and in this way Shoaib was hit wicket out on the very first ball without opening the account. Shoaib, on whose ball he got out in this way, is his old partner. Shoaib is playing for Jaffna Kings in the Lanka Premier League and his old teammate Wahab Riaz is part of the Galle Gladiators team. Shoaib was hit wicket in the process of playing a pull shot on a bouncer of Wahab.
This incident happened in the 14th over of Jaffna Kings’ innings. Just one ball before Shoaib’s hit wicket, Wahab made Sadeera Samarawickrama his victim. Shoaib came to bat when Samar was out. Wahav bowled the last ball bouncer of the 14th over. Shoaib tried to pull it, the ball took the edge of the bat and hit the grill in front of the helmet.
The ball flicks the top edge and thumps into his helmet. The protection at the back of the helmet then comes off and dislodges the bails! Let’s hope Shoaib Malik is alright.#LPL2022 #PakvEng #ENGvPAK pic.twitter.com/Wmm2fbSzeC
