VIDEO: The dreaded player is about to return to Team India, expressed his intentions in a 2 line message, will he play the World Cup?

New Delhi. ODI World Cup is to be held in India in October-November this year. Team India last won the World Cup in 2011 at home. In such a situation, this time there are big expectations from Team India. However, the injury of the players was definitely increasing the problem. But one by one that tension seems to be going away. After the practice videos of Jasprit Bumrah and Shreyas Iyer surfaced, there is good news about Rishabh Pant as well. Pant is currently completing his rehab at the National Cricket Academy after knee ligament surgery and has shared a video in which Jivo is seen doing weight training.

Rishabh Pant has shared a two line message along with sharing this video. He wrote, you get what you work for, not what you want. That is, he has expressed his intentions that he will work hard for the comeback. In this video, Pant is seen doing weightlifting. In this 1-minute video, Pant is trying to stand on his injured leg. However, the question still remains whether Pant will be fit for the World Cup.

A senior BCCI official told InsideSport, “No, Rishabh’s return is not possible for the World Cup. He will take a long time to get back to the wicketkeeping role.”

Rishabh Pant had undergone ligament construction surgery in February under the leadership of Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala in Mumbai. All three ligaments in his right knee required surgery. For this reason, it is not clear when he will be able to return. At present, the medical team of BCCI wants to give maximum time to Rishabh. There is also a possibility that Pant may return to competitive domestic cricket before making a comeback in Team India. He is less expected to be fit even till December. He can be fit by February-March in 2024.

In Pant’s absence, Team India is trying Ishaan Kishan and KS Bharat in the Test. At the same time, Sanju Samson and KL Rahul can play this role in ODIs. By the way, KL Rahul’s claim is stronger. He can be seen playing the role of wicketkeeper in Asia Cup and World Cup. He is also completing his rehab after the surgery.
