Before this, Sachin had never seen Arjun’s match by going to the stadium. Despite this match being special for Arjun, Sachin Tendulkar sat in the dressing room instead of the dugout during the match. Later Sachin revealed the reason for this.

In the video released by IPL, Sachin Tendulkar said that Arjun’s IPL debut was a different experience for me. I have never seen Arjun’s match for sure till date. Even today I was sitting in the dressing room. I just wanted him to express himself through his game today. I didn’t want Arjun to deviate from his plan because of my presence. That’s why I went and sat in the dressing room. Because while I was sitting in the dugout, Arjun could have been seen on the big screen and he would have been nervous to see me.
