Virat Kohli 100 Test Match IND vs SL 1st Test at PCA Stadium Mohali Captain Rohit Sharma told Virat Kohli best Test innings

Virat Kohli 100 Test Match: When former Team India captain Virat Kohli will play the first Test match of the two-match series against Sri Lanka on March 4 at the PCA Stadium in Mohali, it will be a special moment for cricket fans around the world. This will be the 100th Test match of Virat Kohli’s career and earlier captain Rohit Sharma has told what he considers to be the best innings of Virat’s Test career.

Rohit Sharma said a day before the match, ‘The century that Virat Kohli scored in South Africa in 2013 is his best Test memory for me. That was his best innings. In fact, in 2013-14, when the Indian team went on a tour of South Africa, Rohit used to keep going in and out of the Test team. The first Test match was played in Johannesburg from 18 December.

India won the toss and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni elected to bat first. Shikhar Dhawan (13), Murali Vijay (6) and Cheteshwar Pujara (25) were dealt cheaply. Virat played an innings of 119 runs in that innings, taking the lead alone. It was wonderful to see the way Virat played the fast deliveries of Dale Steyn, Vernon Philander and Morne Morkel on the bouncy pitch of Johannesburg. In the second innings of the same match, Virat contributed 96 runs. In that match, Rohit contributed 14 and 6 runs in both the innings respectively.
