Former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli has revealed that he went to a bakery in a crowded area of Bangalore during the India vs Sri Lanka Test series where no one recognized him and he was relieved to see it. Were were Kohli has mentioned this in a video uploaded on social media by Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Virat Kohli said, “It was the third day when the Test match got over.” He said that he wanted to take something for his wife actor Anushka Sharma. Anushka grew up in Bangalore and has almost a lot of friends and lots of memories from here. She loves Thom’s Bakery. As soon as we got back to the hotel, I thought, you know what? Anushka loves the puffs there. It is her favorite thing to eat in Bangalore.
The former India captain said, “I went to Thom’s bakery and I asked security to sit in the car. I had a mask and a cap and it was the best possible way to experience some normalcy and I promise no one saw me at all, it was a really great feeling. I gave the guy my credit card and thought I was gone. If anything happens, I was ready to dial the security number from my phone.
Kohli further said, “At that time I realized the fame of that bakery. The man was so busy with his work, he didn’t care whose credit card it was. He swiped it, I signed it, I gave him the receipt, he stamped it and he didn’t even read whose name was written on it. I was like, wow, that was amazing. Nobody recognized me at all.”
