New Delhi. Mumbai Indians player Ishan Kishan’s return to form before the T20 World Cup is a relief news for Team India and Virat Kohli. Returning to form against Rajasthan Royals, Ishaan scored an unbeaten 50 off 25 balls with the help of five fours and three sixes. Batting first, the Royals team could only score 90 runs for nine wickets and Mumbai achieved this target by losing two wickets in 8.2 overs due to the stormy innings of Ishan.
Mumbai Indians dropped Ishan Kishan
Before the match against Rajasthan Royals, Ishan Kishan has scored 107 runs in 8 matches in IPL 2021. For this reason, he was also dropped in some matches. India has selected only 6 specialist batsmen for the T20 World Cup. This includes Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan of Mumbai Indians. Both the batsmen have not performed well in IPL 2021. All the teams have time till October 10 to reshuffle the squad. In such a situation, seeing the form of Shikhar Dhawan, there is a demand to include him in Team India. Dhawan has scored 501 runs in 13 matches in this IPL and is at number three in the list of highest run scorers.
Ishaan-Suryakumar Yadav decided to play one
KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma are set to open on behalf of the Indian team. Rahul is batting tremendously and he has scored 500 plus in the fourth consecutive season of IPL. Captain Virat Kohli himself will land at number three. Rishabh Pant is batting at number four for Delhi Capitals in IPL. In such a situation, even in the T20 World Cup, Virat can land him at this place. Now there is a contest between Ishaan and Suryakumar Yadav for the 5th place. Suryakumar Yadav had scored 400 plus in IPL 2018, 2019 and 2020 but in this season he has been able to score only 235 runs in 13 matches. In the second leg in UAE, this batsman has managed to score only 59 runs in 6 matches.
India’s 15-man squad is as follows: Virat Kohli (capt), Rohit Sharma (vice captain), KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan (wk), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Rahul Chahar, Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Varun Chakravarthy, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami.
