Virender Sehwag responds to Ajaz Patel after New Zealand spinner recalls funny net bowler episode – Latest Cricket News – IND vs NZ

Indian-origin New Zealand spinner Ejaz Patel performed something that no one expected in the second and final Test against India at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Ejaz created history by taking all 10 wickets in India’s first innings. Everyone is congratulating him on the achievement of Mumbai-born Ejaz and former India explosive batsman Virender Sehwag also joined in. However, as soon as Sehwag congratulated him, the Kiwi spinner reminded Sehwag of an old anecdote when the former opener had thrashed Ajaz. After that now Sehwag has also given a funny reply to the tweet of the Kiwi spinner.

Praising Ejaz Patel, Sehwag wrote on Twitter, “Taking all 10 wickets in an innings is the hardest thing in Test cricket. You will always remember this day in your life. You have created history by being born in Mumbai. Many congratulations to you for this historic performance. The Kiwi spinner took 10 wickets in the first innings of the Mumbai Test and four in the second innings. However, despite their historic performance, New Zealand suffered a crushing defeat by 372 runs in this match. India also won the two-match Test series by 1-0.

Responding to Sehwag’s tweet, Ejaz Patel wrote, ‘Thank you. There is a funny anecdote. I still remember that when I came to Eden Park (Auckland) as a net bowler, you thrashed my balls fiercely. Responding to his words, Sehwag wrote, ‘Time is a habit, it definitely changes. What you have achieved in Mumbai is so extraordinary that you have more discussions than India’s victory. May you achieve more success.’
