Virender Sehwag said that Dinesh karthik is the biggest culprit in the Eoin Morgan and Ravichandran Ashwin controversy over game of spirit in KKR vs DC match IPL 2021 – Latest Cricket News

Former India opener Virender Sehwag has blamed Dinesh Karthik in a dispute between R Ashwin and Eoin Morgan over sportsmanship after taking a single over throw. According to Sehwag, Karthik should not have presented Morgan’s side in front of the media about what happened on the field and the matter was to be postponed as a mere ruckus. Significantly, after the match, Karthik had said that the KKR captain did not like this attitude of Ashwin and he found it against the spirit of the game. Ashwin and Morgan clashed with each other on the middle ground over this matter and Dinesh Karthik had to intervene.

Sehwag while interacting with ‘Cricbuzz’ said, ‘I would consider Dinesh Karthik the biggest culprit in this. If he hadn’t talked about what Morgan said, this kind of ruckus probably wouldn’t have arisen. If he would have said that it was nothing more and just an argument and it keeps happening in matches. What was the need to explain that he thinks this and that he does not. Whatever happened inside the field should remain there. If things like this start coming out of the field, then I guarantee that something like this will happen in every match. The spirit of the game also says that whatever happened inside the field should stay there and move on.

Sehwag took Ashwin’s side and said that he did nothing wrong. Veeru said, ‘I think Ashwin did the right thing. He was within the law of his rides and the game. He has not changed or broken any law. If he doesn’t come in between, he can run. I have also done so.’ On this controversy, Ashwin made his stand on Twitter on Thursday. He had said, ‘When I saw the fielder throwing, I turned to run and I did not know that the ball had hit Rishabh. Would I run if I saw it? Of course I would do it and I am allowed to do it. Am I spoiled by what Morgan says. It’s not like that.’
