Sudden rains are being witnessed in Delhi these days, for which NDMA is alerting people through messages.

This alert is currently being sent only to those areas that fall within that seasonal activity. That is, if in the next 24 hours, there is a situation like storm, storm in Delhi, then only this alert will be sent in Delhi and its surrounding areas. At present, these messages are being sent manually, but soon this process has been said to be automated. NDMA has prepared it in association with Telecommunication and Center for Development of Telematics. This type of facility is also present in countries like US, Japan, Australia etc.
