Who is Anuj Rawat? Virat is showing too much kindness to the batter sold for 3.4 crores! The story is like Rishabh Pant

New Delhi. IPL is such a platform where youth get a chance to prove their talent. In this league, many such stars were given to the Indian team who have hoisted the flag not only in India but also in foreign countries. There were also some domestic cricketers who got crores of rupees in IPL on the basis of their performance, but they could not perform as expected. One such player is Anuj Rawat of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

During the auction before IPL 2023, Anuj Rawat was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 3.4 crore. There was competition among many franchises to buy this wicketkeeper batsman, but in the end RCB won. However, this investment did not prove to be particularly good for Virat Kohli’s team. It is not that Anuj got less chances in the playing XI. This batter could not take advantage of the chance he got in sufficient quantity. Although the captain is Faf du Plessis and the head coach is Sanjay Bangar, but even today only Virat dominates in RCB.

During IPL 2022, Anuj Rawat was given a chance in eight matches by the Bangalore team. During this, he was able to score only 66 runs at an average of 16 and a strike rate of 109. Even in IPL 2023, RCB has given chance to Anuj in six matches. He has been able to score only 39 runs this season with an average of 13 and a strike rate of 87.

The initial story of Anuj Rawat’s career also looks somewhat similar to that of Rishabh Pant. Anuj is a resident of Nainital in Uttarakhand. Like Pant, he too came to Delhi and pursued his cricket career. Anuj made his Ranji Trophy debut from the Delhi team. It is said that Anuj likes aggressive cricket and he enjoys playing by dominating the bowlers. However, there is also a truth that in the IPL career of 16 matches, Anuj has been able to score only one half-century. Dinesh Karthik plays the role of wicketkeeper in the RCB team. In such a situation, questions are being raised on giving a chance to Anuj.
