London. Veteran all-rounder Moeen Ali believes India’s defeat in the T20I series and the first ODI augurs well for England’s future. He also gave the reason for this. Ali said that sometimes there are more lessons to be learned from defeat. After the 10-wicket loss to India in the first ODI, Moin said that there is no need to panic. Earlier, the 3-match T20 series was won by the Indian team 2-1.
35 years old Moeen Ali told reporters, ‘We lost a few matches which is good for us. Before the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia in October, hopefully we will get back on the winning path. It doesn’t mean that we don’t want to win now.
He said, ‘Sometimes it is good to lose also because there is a lesson to be learned from it.’ This was England’s first series with the new captain Jos Buttler.
Moin said, ‘He is fine and the team will also be good. There is no need to change or panic. There are many senior players in the team and we just need to do well as a unit. We have won the World Cup. We have many players whose return will strengthen the team.
