Sachin Tendulkar took a jibe at Sourav Ganguly in the interview
Funny thing said on the question of becoming BCCI President
New Delhi: Many cricketers of India seek to go to higher position in BCCI after retirement. Some become the chief selector and some become the BCCI president. For the last 5 years, we got 2 BCCI presidents who have been cricket players. Former cricketer Roger Binny was made the new president after Sourav Ganguly. Can Sachin Tendulkar go for this post? He himself has given the answer in an interview. Along with this, he has also taken a pinch of Sourav Ganguly.
During an interview, Sachin Tendulkar was asked that the last two presidents of BCCI have become cricketers. First became Sourav Ganguly and then Stuart Binny. Will you also join BCCI someday? Or will you be seen in any such role going forward? Answering this question, Sachin said, I have never done so much fast bowling. Sourav Ganguly considered himself a fast bowler.
Sachin further said, I remember when Sourav took wickets in Toronto. Then Sourav had said that if I put a little more effort, I can put it at a speed of up to 140. On this Sachin said that Dada you can go. Then he practiced for 2 days and got hold of his back. After this he never talked about 140. I have never put 140 nor can I put it.
Sachin advised change in ODI cricket
To save ODI cricket, Sachin has suggested that 50 over cricket should be divided into two parts. The team batting first played 25 overs. After this the bowling team played the remaining overs. Then there should be 25 overs game and the cycle continues. Both teams have only 10 wickets.
