New Delhi. On the lines of Indian Premier League, the new initiative of BCCI, the eyes of the whole world were fixed on the auction of Women’s Premier League. The day of Monday 13 February 2023 was recorded in the pages of history. For the first time, women players were bid in Indian cricket and franchise teams spent crores. The most expensive selling player in this auction was the vice-captain of the Indian team, explosive opener Smriti Mandhana. Royal Challengers Bangalore bought him with the highest bid. With a strong army of 16 players, this team will enter the first edition of the tournament.
