New Delhi. The cleverness, quickness and aim of the wicketkeeper often benefit the team. Sometimes videos of his throwing style or agility are also viral on social media. Something similar happened, during the second ODI match of the series between India and Sri Lanka women’s teams. A video related to Indian wicketkeeper Yastika Bhatia is being liked a lot on social media.
Yastika sent Sri Lankan wicketkeeper Anoushka Sanjeevani to the pavilion due to her amazing throw and agility in the second one-day international of the series at Palekal. The most important thing was that the batsman himself could not understand it. The third umpire again after watching the replay gave the decision of out.
Wicketkeeper Anushka Sanjeevani, who came to bat at number 5 for Sri Lanka, was run out by Yastika Bhatia. Anushka defended the third ball of the 23rd over of the innings. The ball remained close to him, which Yastika immediately picked up and threw it straight on the wicket. The ball also hit the target and Yastika appealed for a run out.
What separates good keepers from the best? Alertness! @YastikaBhatia showed sheer wit and presence of mind with this “stumping”!
