Switch Mobility introduces EiV 12 electric bus with 300KM range in India, will save lakhs of rupees

Switch Mobility, the electric division of Ashok Leyland, has launched its electric bus range EiV 12 in India. Talking about the variants, this EiV 12 electric bus will come in two variants, the first is low floor and the second is standard. It is designed for intra and inter-city applications. It also shares the platform with the Switch e1 bus, which was recently launched in the European market.

Talking about power and specifications, the new generation Lithium-ion NMC battery has been given in Switch EiV 12. It is claimed that it can provide a range of more than 300 km daily. Dual gun fast charging feature increases the range up to 500KM per day. In terms of power, the battery pack powers the PMS AC motor with 315 BHP and 3,100 Nm output. The bus also gets the brand’s own technology solution called ‘Switch ION’.

The Switch EiV 12 electric bus is equipped with an advanced Lithium-Ion modular battery specifically designed for the Indian market and climate. The company claims that these batteries will help the bus run up to 500 kilometers per day and will support dual gun fast charging. Switch Mobility says that the current range of EV buses in India has so far covered a distance of more than 8 million km and has reduced more than 5 thousand CO2 which is like planting more than 30 thousand trees.
