Two-wheeler manufacturer Kawasaki has launched an electric bike named Elektrode. It is a type of balance bike specially designed for kids. This e-bike is specially designed keeping in mind the kids of 3 to 8 years age group. It has been built on a single aluminum chassis. The company claims that it can last for more than 150 minutes in a single charge. With this electric bike, Kawasaki has shown that the company is fully prepared for the fast-growing two-wheeler market.

The price of Kawasaki Elektrode has been kept at $ 1,099 (about Rs 85,000). The bike is currently available at the company’s stores across the US. At present, no information has been shared regarding its launch in India.

Talking about the specifications and features, this electric balance bike has a direct motor hub drive system, which is equipped with a 250W electric motor. It includes three riding modes, namely High, Mid, and Low, and operates at speed limits of 13 mph (approx. 21 kmph), 7.5 mph (approx. 12 kmph), and 5 mph (approx. 8 kmph) respectively . It also has a parental control feature for parents, which is protected by a passcode. In this, parents can limit the speed of the bike.

Talking about the battery system, it has a battery pack of 36 V 5.1 Ah capacity, due to which the company Claim It claims that the electric bike can run for more than 150 minutes. It has also been claimed to take 2.5 hours to fully charge this battery pack.

The rear wheel of the Kawasaki Elektrode electric bike has a 160 mm mechanical disc brake system. Both its tires are of 16 inch size. It is built on a single aluminum chassis. The weight of the electrode is about 14.5kg.
